Sarah Blasko 'All Of Me' Tour
Description:

Sarah Blasko returns to Australia in July, from Paris where she has been spending some time supporting the release of her album and performing throughout Europe. Accompanied by her long time band, she will undertake an extensive regional Australian tour as well as appearing at Splendour in the Grass.

In anticipation of the tour, and the next part of the journey that is Sarah’s fourth album I Awake, Blasko also presents the new single All Of Me with an accompanying video.

Working with Wilk, a visual artist Blasko has collaborated with on many occasions and whose work she much admires, the two set out to create something pure but unsettling together, a performance based video that was at once, equally beautiful and strange.

Hopefully more akin to the art house films of Bèla Tarr and Michelangelo Antonioni than to that of a pop video, Wilk says of the process:

“I took the song literally: lyrically and emotionally. Sarah wanted something intimate, simple. The result is an unconventional single take video. The altered state of Sarah's appearance and her apparent nudity is in purpose devoid of sexuality, replacing it with honesty, bravery and intimacy.”

Blasko adds: “We wanted to blur the border between the natural and the unnatural. The song itself likens falling in love to the purity of being a newborn but love is also at its best when it comes from a place of understanding and experience as expressed in the opening lines:

"I'm wide-eyed like a new life shaking in the breeze. Enraptured by the world, unsteady on my feet. I fall in to a place that I have only dreamed & I'm the woman that I've always longed to be...”

Sarah Blasko’s All Of Me is taken from the album I Awake, out now through Dew Process / Universal Music Australia.

"It’s beautiful, strange and as fragile as a nervous breakdown…” Faster Louder: ********
