Returning to Australia in 2013....Imperial Russian Ballet Company’s A Festival of Russian Ballet featuring a diverse and stunning programme in three awe-inspiring acts.

Act One THE NUTCRACKER
Accompanied by Tchaikovsky’s remarkable score, the story is a mysterious toy make (Herr Drosselmayer) who visits a family over Christmas. He brings tos for the households two children Clara and Fritz. Clara is particularly taken by the toy Nutcracker and the ensuing adventures they share

Act Two BOLERO
A striking and dramatic ballet, Bolero is regarded as one of world music’s masterpieces. Ravel was inspired to create Bolero after visiting a large industrial facroty and noting the slow regular movement of the assembly lines and the crash of machines

Act Three HIGHLIGHTS
Greatest moments from the world’s classical ballets together with traditional and modern dance routines including Giselle, Carmen, The dying Swan, Le Corsaire, Gopak, Ne Me Quittes Pas, Can Can surprise
