Eye of the Enemy ‘Weight of Redemption’ Tour

Spawned in the armpits of Melbourne, Eye of the Enemy ripped their way into the metal scene in 2006 with the debut release of their Demo.

Show after show of unrelenting aggression and energy assured countless live performances with the best that the Melbourne metal scene had to offer.

After a year of unleashing hell with a fast growing fan base after the release of the demo, Eye of the Enemy decided it was time to close the doors in late 2007 to write and record new material to unleash on the world.

The band's next offering was in the form of their 2008 E.P with standout tracks like "Weight of Redemption, and "Facade" appealing to metal fans and non-metal fans alike. Titles such as "Reason for Treason", Violent Rapture", and "Burn the World" also made the cut from the Demo and were re-recorded, re-mastered, and reinvented, however, the release of this never saw the light of day, as it was picked up hastily by an eager record label in 2009 wanting more. This is where the album began.

Since joining the Welkin Entertainment roster and signing to Just Say Rock Records Eye of the Enemy has grown from strength to strength from supporting some of the world’s biggest bands. A few standouts where the main Melbourne support for Cradle of Filth, the main Australian tour support to Amon Amarth, and playing on the annual Screamfest Downunder festival with such metal heavyweights such as Cynic, Dark Funeral, Destroyer 666, Malevolent Creation, Edguy, Ensiferum, Rotting Christ, Sonata Arctica and Spawn of Possession.

During this period, Eye of the Enemy were also dubbed in the top 3 unsigned heavy metal bands in Australia for 2009 by the Association of Australian Heavy Metal also attracting the attention of Ibanez Guitars, Spector Basses, DDrum and Evans Drum Heads securing endorsements for the band.

Now in 2010, the eagerly awaited debut album is to be unleashed on the heavy metal community worldwide which is certain to cement Eye of the Enemy as a household name in heavy metal, and raise the bar to all in the genre.
