Bird Cow Fish returned to the Sydney in March 2006 with the founding Balmain husband and wife team, chef - Alex Herbert and front-of-house partner - Howard Gardner. Its Espresso Bar and Bistro offer a relaxed meeting and dining destination.
The Bird Cow Fish service philosophy reflects the true meaning of hospitality - Enjoyment in the reception of friends and guests with a spirit of generosity and kindness.
The Bistro offers a small daily changing menu, which reflects the vagaries and delights of the best regional and seasonal produce available. The freshness and quality of the ingredients drive each dish and the care the cooks take in the preparation of the food is an extension of the care taken by the produce growers and suppliers. These key producer relationships have been established over the years.
Howard's passion for wine is reflected in a predominately Australian list displaying benchmark styles and regional specialties, with a selection of personal favourites thrown in.
