Sam (Ewen Leslie) has been mistreated at sea and is going AWOL, Dean (Toby Schmitz) has a fiancé (Pia Miranda) and the future in-laws to meet, and Harry (Mathew Newton) just loves playing cards. Throughout the night the boys lose each other, find themselves, and along the way discover courage, friendship and redemption. Funny yet psychological drama where the narrative is told through multiple viewpoints. Three Blind Mice also features the music of Wes Carr. “Three Blind Mice is an anti-war film, unashamedly about people not politics,” said Matthew Newton. “I wanted to make a film that shows three young men doing what our male youth do as an alternative to killing and being killed. The boys meet potential partners, they get into trouble on their own terms and they deal with the complex question of what it is to be a man.
