Description:

Randwick District Rugby Union Football Club, also known as the Galloping Greens (after Randwick Racecourse) are one of the most famous rugby union clubs in the world.

In the 1980s the club produced many Wallabies, including the Ella Brothers who would revolutionise back line play, George Gregan, Chris Whitaker and Australia's most famous rugby union player, David Campese.

The team dominated the Sydney Premiership, winning 14 titles from 1978 to 1996.

The club was formed in 1882 and since then has won 31 first grade premierships and 7 Australian club championships .

In all 93 Randwick players have pulled on a Wallaby jersey and nine have had the honour of captaining their country. This group is for anyone who has had the honour of pulling on the mighty myrtle green jersey, be it 1st grade or 5th, and stepped out onto our beloved home ground Coogee Oval.
