Red Stitch has been nurturing Australian actors, directors, designers and technical crew since its inception in late 2001. The company is managed and staffed by its fifteen ensemble members who are dedicated to developing their craft and presenting high calibre productions of the finest new plays from around the world.The company was nominated for 8 Green Room Awards in 2007, in the major category of Theatre alongside MTC and Malthouse, and won the prize for Best Production and Best Direction following Best Actor Awards in 2005 and 2006.Red Stitch is an intimate theatre experience with a strong local following. A licensed bar and recently renovated foyer add to the pleasant setting between Alma Park and the beautiful All Saints Church in Windsor. Nearby Chapel Street has some of Melbourne's best shopping and cafe culture and excellent restaurants to discover.
