Burswood Park is a perfect mix of local history, art, and recreation. A visit to these expansive park lands is to experience has fantastic trails that wind along the southern banks of the Swan River. There are several lakes in the park such as the Citizen of the Year Lake with a stunning black swan fountain. Another treat is the Heritage Trail featuring information and bronze sculptures that represent renowned personalities from Western Australian history. Plenty of excellent picnic areas are available and the visitor information centre conducts free tours. The Burswood Park Golf Course is located here, and from December to April, the park holds the nightly Movies by Burswood charity program.
