After just completing a successful 7 date tour in March & April that saw Sydney based FunkCore band ‘The SideTracked Fiasco’ play shows in NSW, VIC, QLD & ACT. ‘STF’ are about to head back on the road for a 16 show east coast assault to promote their new single “547” off the “Enter the Motivational Sasquatch” EP. Named after the bus route lead vocalist Ryan used to take after school “547” is a hard hitting fast paced funk song featuring driving drums, crunchy guitars and funkified slap bass, with lyrics like “water bomb cars from the front of Stopps’ door/ smash a window with a lemon just because we're bored” and “stealing buds off my bro’ watching SBS/learning how to speak English, those days were the best” detailing some of the hijinks and shenanigans that took place during his teenage years…and possibly on tour. ‘The SideTracked Fiasco’s’ sound has been compared to the likes of The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Rage Against The Machine, Faith No More, System of a Down and Mammal to name a few. The music contains the rhythm and feel found in funk and early hip-hop, the urgency and speed of punk, and the structuring and experimentation of progressive rock and has been described as having “enough bass to melt your face off”.
