A unique adults-only “food on film on food” experience and culinary journey to the dark side. Following our hugely popular Bottleshock and Sideways wine and film events, Cinema Nova and Comida Bebe bring you a sumptuous food and film experience to titillate, tempt, tantalize and tease ALL your senses. Be transported to another world as we celebrate Peter Greenaway’s spectacular genre and description-defying classic, THE COOK, THE THIEF, HIS WIFE AND HER LOVER, with a momentous feast that promises you one heck of a melting pot of gastronomic and cinematic craziness…. debased, debauched, delicious and very adults-only. Menu Comida Bebe’s chefs will be on hand to present: Act One: To start, an extravagant and theatrical buffet opening with tastes, treats an absinthe cocktail concoction. Moving into the theatre, guests will be treated to an 'a la minute' spectacle, employing our favourite visual food techniques. Act Two: Main Course: Excess, excitement and gastronomic adventure – served for enjoyment during the feature. Act Three: Just Desserts: Sweet treats and something more than a little phallic served at film’s end. To Drink: Each course will be paired with a wine especially selected to complement the tastes and flavours of its accompanying dish. This event is rated R18+.
