Rachel Claudio is a singer/songwriter/pianist/producer/actor originally from Australia, who draws influence from such Soul & nu-Soul artists as Chaka Khan, Lauryn Hill, Prince, Dwele, Erykah Badu & Marvin Gaye. She has performed as a professional musician solo and in live soul, RnB & nu-Jazz acts since the age of 14 in Western Australia. In 2003, Rachel met & collaborated with Australian drum’n’bass producer Greg Packer. They released a string of non-commercial drum’n’bass tracks, including the soul-tinged underground hit, ‘Wonderful Day’. For the past two years, Rachel has been working as a producer/writer with DJ/producer, Nicolas Vautier, specialising in soulful House. Their first record, "Do You Even Know" (Place Blanche Records) was released January 07 and reached No .1 on the charts of Traxsource. She moved to Paris in August 2006, where herself and Nicolas created the House music label JaffaMusic. Whilst in Paris, she has collaborated with, written for or sung for King Britt, Martin Solveig, Ralf Gum, Yass, DJ Fudge, Tony L & Roy Davis Jr.
