Council is offering a series of FREE bike skills and maintenance workshops for community members of all ages and ability levels. The workshops will be run by the award winning bicycle education providers, Bike On Australia. The Moreton Bay Region is a beautiful place to cycle as a commuter or for recreation. There are numerous natural wonders and family fun places to visit by bike. Council provides an extensive cycling network consisting of on-road and off-road shared paths, which is continually growing, to meet community needs. You're never too old to start cycling! Getting on a bike is a great way to explore your local neighbourhood and get fit at the same time. If you are new to cycling or haven't ridden in a while this workshop is for you! All participants will gain valuable knowledge on how to use their bikes as a preferred form of transport, have confidence to be a safe cyclist on our roads and cycle ways. Information and training on how to maintain and undertake minor repairs on your bike will also be provided. Equipment All equipment including bikes will be provided however you are welcomed to bring your own. Saturday 11 February 2012 1.00pm - 3.00pm Registration Bookings are required for all workshops.
