The Trews will return to Australia in 2011 for the second time since their September 2010 album release. This four-week long visit will see the Canadian rock outfit settling into multiple residency performances in both Sydney and Melbourne.
Renowned for their killer hooks, infectious rock anthems and pumping live shows, The Trews have proven to be a force back in their homeland…and after their last Australian visit, they’re sure as hell intent on mirroring their Canadian success over here in Australia. In seven years, the band have released four albums, resulting in two of them gold; 10 x Top-10 singles (2 x No. 1 and one gold), multiple awards for best single, video and live group, while on the live front they’ve played close to 800 live shows, including support slots for the Rolling Stones, Robert Plant, Guns N’ Roses and KISS.
The Trews’ Australian Feb/March 2011 tour follows on from the release of their current single “Not Ready To Go”, the Canadian #1 track, lifted from their Australian debut album, Friends and Total Strangers (Bumstead/Code One). Anyone who pre-purchases tickets to the shows will receive a free 4-track “live” EP download.
The Trews are: lead vocalist Colin MacDonald; his brother, guitarist John-Angus MacDonald; cousin, drummer Sean Dalton, and long-time friend, bassist Jack Syperek.
