Description:

Dainty Consolidated Entertainment is thrilled to announce that Robin Gibb, the voice that set alight a million romances and as many dance floors, returns to Australia for an unforgettable evening of Bee Gees’ Greatest Hits in Brisbane, Perth, Sydney and Melbourne. Tickets go on sale Thursday 29 July, 2010.

Accompanied by full band and orchestra, Australian audiences will experience a show like none other! In Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne Robin will be accompanied by the Australian Metropolitan Orchestra. In Perth the West Australian Symphony Orchestra will take to the stage with him. With a massive production promised, fans can expect to hear all the biggest songs - Massachusetts, How Deep is Your Love, Stayin’ Alive, Night Fever, You Win Again, Nights on Broadway, Jive Talking, I Started A Joke, Words, To Love Somebody, New York Mining Disaster and many more!

Of course Robin Gibb is a member of The Bee Gees. The Bee Gees have made an indelible mark on five decades of popular music. Their recording career is phenomenal and after selling more than 200 million albums worldwide, the brothers Gibb have long since taken their place amongst the true legends of pop. They are the fifth most successful recording artists of all time, charted over 60 hit singles, won 8 Grammy Awards, earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, have been made Commanders of the British Empire and been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The Gibb Brothers’ song catalogue is second only to the Beatles as the most successful in the world. In addition to their well documented smash hits as a group, they have successfully written songs for music artists such as Barbra Streisand, Dionne Warwick, Kenny Rogers, Diana Ross and Celine Dion. The Bee Gees’ brilliantly crafted songs form the soundtrack to the lives of millions of people around the globe and possess the unique ability to continually capture new generations of devoted listeners.

Robin Gibb’s ethereal voice has been a trademark of many Bee Gees recordings but he also moulded his own musical identity with a number of successful solo releases over the last 4 decades. From his first hit ‘Saved by the Bell’ in 1969 to his NO.1 hit ‘Juliet’ and million selling album ‘How old are you?’ in 1983, to his UK Top 5 duet with Alistair Griffin in 2004, Robin maintains a significant presence in the world of popular music.

Bonnie Tyler joins Robin on this tour of Australia, adding another dimension to the evening which will no doubt excite audiences. Bonnie Tyler stormed the international music charts in the late 70s and early 80s with her smash hit songs, ‘It’s a Heartache’,’ Holding out for a hero’ and ‘Total Eclipse of the heart’.

Bonnie’s trademark vocals have made her one of the most instantly recognisable women in rock and she continues to deliver an awesome live show every time she walks out onto the stage.

Do not miss this magic night of pure musical pleasure!

Loved the Sydney show. Robin was great although he was I'll at ease talking to the audience. Seemed to feel more relaxed as the audience willed him on.

Perth Show was good - Robin's voice was average, especially at the start, he sounded like a flat Ringo Starr - got better about half way through and singing his "warbly" old stuff. Great venue, band, and wonderful Bee Gee songs!!!

Went to Sandleford to see Robin on 31/10, thought he was very ordinary and Bonnie Tyler was shocking!@# will revive the CD's for a real Bee Gees fix at home....

Fabulous show but to the lady sitting beside me in the third row he HAS his own singers. Didn't need you trying to sing along in your crappy falsetto voice!

"What a shame" clearly was not at the same venue as me last night. R Gibb was fantastic. I've been singing Bee Gees classics all day. It was great to welcome him home.

Last night's concert in Brisbane was very disappointing. I would have been better at home listening to friends sing these songs on singstar

Isn't this guy a bit old for this? Did he ever have any talent anyway?
