After spending the past year playing bridesmaid to iconic local rockers such as AC/DC, Cog, The Butterfly Effect, and Grinspoon, Melbourne’s own three piece excitement machine Calling All Cars Will be donning their best suits and ties and heading out in fine style on their first national headline tour to officially launch their debut album Hold, Hold, Fire.
Currently on tour with The Butterfly Effect, helping them celebrate their return to the live stage for the first time in 2010, that tour will end on 2 October giving Calling All Cars four weeks of quality time at band camp before heading off on The Hold, Hold, Fire National Album Launch Tour.
The excitement begins on Friday 3 September in Perth and pulls in at the last stop on Saturday 3 October in sunny Mildura. Between then Calling All Cars, and their handpicked support cast of Brisbane high energy rockers Numbers Radio and Perth upstarts Young Revelry, will hit every capital city in the country as well as a number of key regional centres that have supported Calling All Cars throughout their career.
With their new single ‘Runaway’ currently taking up air space on national radio thanks to continuing support from Triple j, and with a legion of fans gained by a national touring schedule that makes the Leyland Brothers and Alby Mangels look like stay-at-homes, Calling All Cars are heeding the advice of recent tour partners AC/DC and taking the long way to the top…see them now before they hit the stadiums!
