Description:

The imminent release of his 15th studio album ‘I Come In Peace’ is a testament to Ross Wilson’s longevity and his ability to keep producing music that is as relevant in 2010 as it was 1964 when he fronted The Pink Finks. In a career that spans over 40 years Ross, who is also a two-time ARIA Hall Of Fame inductee, remains one of this country's most respected artists.

Produced by Mark Moffatt (The Saints ‘I’m Stranded’) and recorded in Nashville & Melbourne in late 2009 ‘I Come In Peace’ features 11 new songs that have Wilsons sublime song writing touch all over them.

The title track first single, which was co-written with ex-Angels guitarist Rick Brewster, is a full tilt rock track showcasing Wilson’s peerless vocal delivery and proving his status as a living legend of Australian music has done nothing but improve with time.

Ross Wilson, who started his career in 1964 with garage punk outfit The Pink Finks at the tender age of 16, has entrenched himself in the Australian music scene as a singer, writer and producer of some of the country’s best known and most loved songs. Ross’ prolific 80’s catalogue, including Mondo Rock’s ‘Cool World’, ‘A Touch of Paradise’ and ‘Come Said the Boy’ could only be overshadowed by the magnitude of his 70’s catalogue which exploded the shackles of international music trends and helped Australian music become recognised in its own right. In one of the most prosperous times in Australian rock music history, Ross Wilson and Daddy Cool set the bar high, however Ross’ production on Skyhooks ground breaking album Living in the 70’s pushed all expectations to a new level.

Mr Eagle Rock, Ross Wilson will be launching his first new album in 8 years on a national tour.
