Following David’s Hobson’s recent success with his new album ‘Enchanted Way’ rocketing straight into the top 20 of the ARIA chart, Opera Australia is proud to present a national tour called ‘Singing for Love’ from two of Australia’s best loved singers. Chat, laugh and fall in love as David Hobson and Yvonne Kenny reminisce on their stellar careers, and their long-standing friendship along with acclaimed pianist and ABC personality, Guy Noble.

‘Singing For Love’ tours Australia nationally from August 26 to September 12 and is a staged concert of opera, operetta and songs, united by the theme of love in all its guises - for friendship, romance, family and of course, for music itself. Yvonne and David will share stories, anecdotes, and much more throughout the evening. From Handel and Verdi, to the romantic duets of Robert Schumann, and from Noel Coward to the Broadway hits of My Fair Lady, Kiss Me Kate, The Sound of Music and Company, this is Yvonne Kenny and David Hobson as you’ve never seen before.

‘Singing for Love’, the concert tour, opens in Adelaide on August 26 following the launch of the coinciding ‘Singing for Love’ CD on August 6, proudly produced by ABC Classics and Universal Music Australia.

Between them, Yvonne and David have sold over a quarter of a million albums, making them two of the highest selling CD Artists in Australian history. In May, David’s new release Enchanted Way opened at #25 on the Aria Charts. Their friendship spans two decades during which time they have performed in many operas together, the most recent being Fledermaus during Opera Australia’s Melbourne season in May, 2010.

Yvonne and David have also sung in many concerts together over the years including a series of Christmas concerts at the Sydney Opera House and the prestigious Leeuwin Estate concert in WA.
