On the eve of the new single release, Most High, Saritah announces some NSW shows for April. Playing at The Tea Club in Nowra, The Mac in Sydney and The Heritage Hotel Bulli, on April 9th, 10th & 11th (consecutively).
After a successful 2009, which saw Saritah release her sophomore album, Ancient Forward, tour nationally throughout Australia and also in Hong Kong and South Korea, the next single release is the afro-brazilian dancehall track, Most High.
The new single is a favourite for both Saritah and fans when played live and features South African vocalist/musician Aranha, who raps a verse and plays the berimbau, layering this beat-driven groove.
The festival season reminded fans how Saritah, this petite power house, can get a crowd moving! Playing two sets at Stradbroke Island’s, Island Vibe Festival and opening the main stage at Peats Ridge 2009 for the New Years celebrations, Saritah had bodies shaking and skankin.
Set to release and tour Ancient Forward in New Zealand in 2010 and having just secured a booking agent to take her further overseas, to Canada and Europe, this pocket rocket is not about to slow down.
As Xpress Magazine quoted: “For such a small woman, Saritah’s voice is anything but tiny. Her amazing voice soars and is so versatile – from the more soulful and sweetly spoken guitar tunes, to the more upbeat reggae tunes. Being so versatile, energetic and positive about the future, Saritah’s live show is fresh and uplifting, making you want to move your feet and dance.”
