Having just returned from a series of unforgettable shows in Melbourne, Bridezilla are gearing up for a month of outstanding gigs in Sydney over the month of December. On top of this, they will also be supporting Portland’s indie rock legends, The Decemberists, at their Sydney and Melbourne sideshows in January 2010!
The action begins on Thursday 3rd December with an in-store in Sydney’s iconic indie retailer, Hum (King Street). Running from 6.00pm-6.30pm, the appearance will see them signing copies of their acclaimed debut album, ‘The First Dance’, as well as perform a handful of songs!
Following this, the group will head to Sydney’s legendary Homebake Festival on Saturday 5th December. Taking the stage alongside acts including Powderfinger, Sia, Sarah Blasko, Decoder Ring, and Eddy Current Suppression Ring, this performance will help cement Bridezilla’s credentials as one of the country’s most promising up-and-coming bands.
On Tuesday 8th December, Bridezilla will be heading to the Metro Theatre to support none other than The Temper Trap, before staging their very own album launch at Good God Small Club on Thursday 10th September. After the last few months – where Bridezilla have played shows abroad, including the prestigious ATP Festival New York (curated by Flaming Lips) – the official Sydney launch promises to be a stunning homecoming. And in January of next year, the group have been announced as support for acclaimed indie-rockers, The Decemberists!
