Description:

Indie rock band Wild Beasts head to Australia for Laneway Festivals and headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne.

In 2002, Hayden Thorpe and Ben Little formed the duo Fauve, the French term for wild beast, and began writing original songs. In January 2004, the band acquired the drumming skills of Chris Talbot, otherwise known as 'Bert' and changed the bands' name to The Wild Beasts. In September 2005 Tom Fleming joined as full time bassist

With Hayden's enormous falsetto voice, which soars over chiming guitars,’Brave Bulging Buoyant Clairvoyants’ their debut single was placed in circulation on BBC 6 Music and won Steve Lamacq's Rebel Playlist on BBC 6 Music in January 2007.

‘Two Dancers’ is the bands second album. It follows 2008’s widely celebrated debut ‘Limbo Panto’.

‘Two Dancers’ is full of references to the following: booty calls, puckered lips, bodies as perfect machines, and dim-lit-streets.

An early review of the album, ‘Two Dancers’, published on ClashMusic.com reads: "Affecting, audacious, captivating of fantastical flourishes, it’s an album to champion ‘til all superlatives are spent." The review is scored 9/10. The Sunday Times newspaper (UK) gave the album it's Album Of The Week accolade, reviewing it 5/5 and described it as "one of 2009’s indisputable masterpieces".
