Taylor Swift, America’s biggest selling artist of 2008, is set to bring her Fearless world tour to Australia this summer!

Swift will play to arenas in Brisbane, Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne and Adelaide in February 2010, accompanied by her full band and the arena production that has thrilled audiences across the USA.

The Country/Pop crossover style of Taylor Swift has been embraced both in America and beyond, with her record-breaking success and popularity cemented by the success of her 2006 debut Taylor Swift and 2008’s Fearless. By the age of 18 she became the first artist in US history to have two top 10 albums in the same year.

In April 19-year old Taylor Swift embarked on her first major headline tour of North America, with tickets for the 52-date tour selling out instantly, with New York City’s Madison Square Garden reportedly selling out in under ONE minute and LA’s Staples Center in two minutes.

Worldwide album sales have now surpassed 8 million and continue to grow rapidly. Locally Swift’s latest album Fearless peaked at #2 on the ARIA chart, with sales now approaching triple platinum (210,000 sales).

The album features the forthcoming release Fifteen, #1 and near quadruple Platinum smash Love Story (the biggest selling Australian single of 2009) and recent top 5 hit, the 100,000 plus selling hit, You Belong With Me. Collectively, Taylor Swift’s Australian single sales are approaching 500,000. You Belong With Me earned Swift the MTV VMA Moonman for Best Female Video, a second consecutive #1 at Top 40 (US) and her 4th consecutive #1 Country single.

Taylor Swift kicked off her Fearless Tour in Evansville, Indiana, wowing the capacity crowd with her close to- two-hour show, featuring an incredible, theatrical presentation of graphics, sets and visual elements designed by Swift herself. Several original video elements and a fairy-tale castle lit by more than a million lumens of light and are just some of the highlights of Taylor Swift’s three-act show.

The first act is a stirring visual storytelling of some of Taylor’s biggest hits, starting with her hit single You Belong With Me. Act Two showcases Taylor’s musicianship with a poignant, stripped-down acoustic set that promises a truly personal experience for fans. The final act brings the show to an exhilarating crescendo with high-energy renditions of several fan favourites.
