The Gin Club returns to the Australian stage
After 5 months traveling abroad and recording their new album, Brisbane’s unique musical collective, The Gin Club are returning to the Australian stage in the late half of 2009, a swag full of new tracks and some special guests in tow.
The Club plan to unleash the shiny new tracks they’ve been burrowed away honing during the winter months on eager audiences, gearing up for the official release of their fourth studio album in early 2010.
“It was very inspiring” TGC’s Ben Salter said of traveling overseas. “We’re well rested now and it has made us even more excited about playing for Australian audiences”.
The Gin Club’s reemergence onto the Aussie stage will aptly commence in their home-state at the Caloundra Music Festival on Sunday 25th October.
This will be backed up by a month-long journey through Australia’s East Coast in November supported by the likes of Mexico City, The Spoils, Aerial Maps as well as some very special guests to be announced closer to the tour.
As you will see at any of these approaching shows, The Gin Club's Live show is instrument-swapping madness, rousing choruses and heartbreak backed by cello, accordion, Hammond organ and heaps of guitars. No wonder they have people talking!
You can expect to hear the new single (it’s so new it’s yet to be named) through your wireless in late October.
