Having debuted at number 2 on the national ARIA charts in June Karnivool’s new album ‘Sound Awake’ has been certified gold; it’s another stupendous achievement for these heavy rockers from Perth. In other news Karnivool’s ‘Sound Awake’ album has been nominated for the prestigious J Award for album of the year, which the band is of course particularly thrilled about!

Karnivool will be venturing overseas in September and October to tour in support of the release of ‘Sound Awake’ internationally. The album has been released in New Zealand and will come out in the USA in February 2010 through the SIN / Red network. The band will conduct headline shows in New Zealand and the USA and will open for old friends and touring buddy’s SKINDRED in the UK. (see full tour run below).

Having turned on existing and new fans alike on their recent sell out ‘Sound Awake’ tour last month, eager Australian fans will have to wait a little longer for their next Karnivool live fix with a tour taking place throughout the country in November and December.

The Sine Waves and Mirrors tour will kick off on Nov 18th and take in several cities and major sub metro areas. Tickets are on sale from Friday August 21st. We advise fans to get in quick as the ‘Sound Awake’ tour sold out in record time and these will be the last scheduled shows for the band in 2009.
