Description:

The Sydney foursome’s debut album, The Peaceful Atom Is A Bomb - which Rolling Stone magazine has already dubbed “the perfect distillation of everything good that’s happened since rock found a heavy, fuzzy imagination in the late Sixties” – is the culmination of two intense years of hard living, hard partying and – more than anything – f*cking hard work.

Along the way, Regular John shared stages with a spectrum of artists that definitely reflects their own diversity – The Bronx, The Hard-Ons, The Scare, Birds Of Tokyo, Helmet, Dinosaur Jr., Louis XIV, You Am I, The Datsuns, Nashville Pussy, The Mint Chicks. As Goman explains, “We don’t really fit in with a particular scene or sound, which means that we can play to all sorts of different people. That’s definitely a virtue.”

On May 1st, The Peaceful Atom Is A Bomb was heard screaming through the airwaves of Youth Network TRIPLE J when it was awarded Album Of The Week! Both preceding singles, Language and Abbatoir Noir also found a place on the Triple J playlists, as had all their previous releases.

"Armed with boundless energy, killer hooks, singable choruses and variety up the wazoo, Regular John stamp themselves as one of the most exciting young bands on the face of the planet" BLUNT MAGAZINE

Joining Regular John for their national tour are Sydney band TALONS armed with a debut album ready to be released on Rice Is Nice on May 30th. Talons emerge with a more mature and focused long player; a bomb-blast of energy that serves as a blueprint for their recent excursions into more melodic and adventurous territory.

“It's raw stuff, and gloriously so….[Talons] could well end up fostering quite a deservedly wide fan base, despite their brutally noisy tendencies.” DB MAGAZINE

Make no mistake - this is rock ‘n’ roll, delivered with the same fuck-the-man spirit that Iggy Pop and the Asheton brothers summoned in Detroit all those years ago! See it live throughout June and July;
