“…not much under the Super top today will match the raw power and energy of this talented four-piece. They tear through a better than flawless set…” – Time Off, Splendor In The Grass review 2008

“...one of Aussie rock’s best releases this year, if not the best.” – Vivienne Hill, Tsunami Magazine 2008

“Thieves will see the band rise to all the right places.” – Ben Preece, Time Off 2008

British India ravaged the stage at Falls Festival before bringing in the New Year in Sydney at Purple Sneakers’ wild NYE Party. Before they head overseas for their second UK tour in under a year, Melbourne garage-rockers British India will smash through Australian country towns and cities when they hit the proverbial road in February through April to promote their new single ‘God Is Dead.’

Nietzsche coined the phrase, and British India have made it into a rock’n’roll anthem. ‘God Is Dead’ is the second single from British India’s sophomore album Thieves and will be digitally released on Monday 9 February, 2009 through iTunes.

The band finished filming the clip for ‘God Is Dead’ at the end of last week so keep your eyes peeled.

British India have proved themselves the indie darlings of the Australian rock scene. In 2008 Thieves debuted at #5 in the National ARIA Album Chart and #1 in the AIR Chart; and was nominated for ‘Best Independent Release’ in both the 2008 ARIA Awards and 2008 AIR Awards.

See British India, one of the most intense live bands in Australia, rock a venue near you!
