Description:
Picture They Might Be Giants, Nat King Cole Trio and the Violent Femmes jamming in an elevator on their way to a party at Elton John’s penthouse and you’re on the way to humming along to Scott Edgar and the Universe. Scott Edgar, otherwise known as Scod of Tripod fame, is set to celebrate the release of his Universe’s self titled debut album with a series of live performances this September making two stops in the Great South West of Victoria and then heading over to the Great City of Trams, Adelaide. Scott and his impro-jazz rhythm section - the astounding Mick Meagher on bass, the soulful Eamon McNelis on trumpet and the funkadelic Rory McDougall on tubs - have been playing shows since 2005 and now the quartet is set to unleash its debut album, Scott Edgar and the Universe.
