Blue King Brown return to home shores for a national tour in support of their new single, Moment Of Truth, available digitally end of August 2008 through Roots Level Records and MGM Distribution and iTunes, Moment Of Truth will be the first single off the follow up album to their award winning debut, Stand Up, and is due for release in 2009. Sharing stages across the world with the likes of Damien ‘Jr gong’ Marley, Julian Marley, Santana, The John Butler Trio and Michael Franti and Spearhead has brought this incredible band’s craft to a higher level and a diverse market reach. Peter Gabriel’s WOMADelaide, Big Day Out, and Al Gore’s Live Earth 2007 are just some of the highlighted festivals that have given Blue King Brown their platform to spread their music and message. Being invited to jam with Carlos Santana and gaining his total respect, when they supported his recent Australian stadium tour, was a life time highlight for front woman Natalie Paapaa.
BKB’s talent has recently been recognised and acknowledged worldwide through collaborations for their upcoming album with the legendary Sly and Robbie, Jah Mason, Rovleta Fraser and renowned engineers Chris Macro (SCRIBE, Katchafire) & BONZAI (known for his work with Damian & Stephen Marley amongst many others) recording Blue King Brown in studios in Australia (SING SING) and Jamaica (Anchor Studios & Bob Marley’s legendary TUFF GONG studios) to New York, Las Vegas and San Francisco.
BKB’s hard hitting new single Moment of Truth is a testament to the rise of one of Australia’s greatest acts, they have pushed the boundaries of their genre and taken hold of a mass cross generation of music lovers.
This is a highly anticipated new track and headline tour from the band who has been laying low on the OZ touring circuit to be in the studio creating their new album. Bound to be one of the highlight tours leading into summer 08, it’s a stellar line up with special guests TZU, Natty Sistren & Little Bushman from NZ - featuring former members of Trinity Roots and Fat Freddy’s Drop.
