My Name 4 Your Name are a new Sydney based band that prove that, sometimes, great music is simply a matter of patience, talent, and timing. With a contemporary melodic rock sound that recalls artists such as the Spill Canvas and the Early November, the time is right for MN4YN to take to the stage, and take your heart.

Frontman and principal songwriter Davey.B began his musical journey as a solo artist, and from an early age he had devoted all the time he had to his study of performance and composition. Following a period of intense songwriting in an isolated residence in the Snowy Mountains, he headed straight for the studio to record what would be the first My Name 4 Your Name demo.

The songs were always intended to be performed by a full band, but it was important that it be with the right musicians. Fortunately, while Davey began jamming with various musicians, fate and circumstance were conspiring to help make MN4YN a reality.

Davey found his second guitarist in long time friend Dana, who had recently parted ways with Envy Parade. Luke, a former co-worker of Dana’s, signed on as bass player soon after the disbandment of The Falls End. Finally Gareth, a school friend and former band mate of Davey’s, returned home after a 4 year stint in Adelaide drumming for STR. After a long search, the final line up had come together in a matter of weeks. Surely, it was meant to be.

In a short time the band has discovered they share much more than just friendship and history. All members have embraced the spirit and direction of the project, bringing their own innovations and influences to the melting pot of ideas. My Name 4 Your Name honors the tried and tested guidelines for great music; strong melody, memorable hooks, and an ability to balance the amazingly powerful with the sublimely subtle.
