After almost 10 years and nearly 1000 shows, Melbourne power trio Antiskeptic have decided to finish their incredible journey this September.
And what a journey it has been!
Formed in the back of a record store in 1999, the band quickly rose to prominence through the strength of their energetic live shows and acclaimed recorded material.
Hard working and independent, the band self financed numerous EP’s and Albums including ‘Memoirs of a Common Man’ (2001), ‘Aurora’ (2003) and ‘Monuments’ (2006).
Having toured with the likes of Midnight Oil, Jimmy Eat World, Dashboard Confessional and Unwritten Law, the band also took great pride in fostering new talent, taking younger groups such as Gyroscope, Kisschasy, After The Fall and I Killed The Prom Queen on some of their first ever touring experiences!
To celebrate the band and it’s amazing career, Antiskeptic will be giving punters one final chance to see them in action with farewell concert’s planned for Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide.
As a special thank you to fans, the boys have hit the studio to record the previously unreleased, live favorite “I’ll Follow”, and will offer it as a free download from their myspace page in early August.
The song is classic Antiskeptic and will serve as a fine closing chapter on one of our country’s premier rock acts.
