Description:
Having spent the first part of 2008 touring Europe and the UK – supporting the likes of Yellow Magic Orchestra, Battles, No Age, Chemical Brothers and Born Ruffians, as well as playing Glastonbury and the Massive Attack curated Meltdown Festival at London's Royal Festival Hall – Pivot are returning to Australia in July / August to launch 'O Soundtrack My Heart', their highly anticipated sophomore release (and follow-up to 2005's J Award nominated 'Make Me Love You').
Set for an early August release on Warp Records through Inertia, 'O Soundtrack My Heart' sees Pivot combining the emotive and cerebral - the raw garage energy of three explosive musicians alongside intensive studio production. Part prog-warrior, part slacker-geek, their music and approach provide something much needed.
In addition to being hand-picked by Sigur Rós for their Australian support slots, Pivot celebrate this monumental release with a blitzkrieg album tour of major cities on the east and west coasts of Australia, before heading back for more UK / European dates.
