Description:

Nexus Bloom are something of a rarity. Bucking trends, stripped down to core components, they are a tightly cranked three piece, of defiant punk rock. Like a vintage valve amp, theirs is quality through simplicity. Add to this a voice with more gravitas than a tanker of tar and we are in the territory of iconography. That comparisons have been made with the usual greats from the Sub Pop era, is testament to their faultless song writing.

Since forming in January 2007, they have being knocking out an increasingly impressive cast of UK music industry heavyweights by the strength of the tunes, alone. So taken was Alan McGee (Oasis & Creation fame) with their Myspace recordings, that he hand picked them to play at his Death Disco night in Notting Hill, London.

Sticking to the stage like glue, the band have gone on to relentlessly tour and win over crowds in the most prestigious and notorious venues in London. From the University of London to the darkest recesses of the Camden Bar Fly. If there is a slot, they play.

Not content with getting the key to the city, Nexus Bloom continue to find a home in the most unlikely of places. For instance, the world of surfing. Perhaps it is the tidal wave of energy? Perhaps it’s their pioneering spirit? For whatever reason, tracks are now available on the Billabong Pro Junior Series DVD “Inside” which goes out to 40,000 Australians and gets played in Billabong stores worldwide. Similarly, they have gone cinematic, featuring on the soundtrack for British Director, Caleb Lyndsay's forthcoming feature, Seven Seconds to Heaven.

With deep rooted support and fast growing into the 'must see' live act of the year, this is a band that is forever in bloom.
