After the attention-grabbing release of their debut album, Catalan Atlas last September, sold-out shows with Melbourne’s Horsell Common and an up-coming tour with Perth rockers Karnivool, Adelaide’s MERE THEORY has announced yet another national tour – this time alongside FIFTY SIXX, THE PAPER AND THE PLANE and CLOSURE IN MOSCOW!
The Vectors Tour will feature four bands from four states, traveling across the county together to bring intelligent and hard-hitting Australian rock to the masses. The unique quadruple headline tour will feature each band headlining to their own home crowd, and as a special gift, every person at every show on The Vectors Tour will receive an exclusive CD sampler featuring two tracks from each of the four bands!
Enjoying the success and radio airplay of the first two singles Gracefully and Triple J favourite Stabilize from the Catalan Atlas album, MERE THEORY are preparing to unleash their third and no doubt most powerful track yet – Stand Up. Look out for MERE THEORY’s Stand Up and it’s accompanying video clip on your airwaves throughout May.
MERE THEORY is one of Australian rock’s last great hopes. Their no-nonsense attitude and distinct, melodic sound has already endeared them to discerning music lovers everywhere. Their full-length debut Catalan Atlas was recorded and mixed at Melbourne's Sing Sing Studios with producer Richard Stolz (Bodyjar, After The Fall). The album includes a newly recorded version of the band’s earlier single You Will Never Win, as well as Gracefully, Stabalize and Stand Up. Not surprisingly, the album has received rave reviews including a 4/5 rating from Rolling Stone and 9/10 from Blunt Magazine!
