At Zushi our main goal is to provide you with a no-fuss, value-for-money Japanese dining experience in Sydney where quality is the focus. We aim to be your favourite place to go to when you feel like a quick bite of sushi + sashimi at an affordable price. Our food can be described as modern Japanese. We serve all the Japanese. We serve all the Japanese classics from crispy pan-fried Gyoza to Teriyaki Chicken, however, we’re big fans of keeping things interesting with lots of daily specials to add to our unique creations such as our signature inside-out rolls (our Zushi Spider Roll has been a crowd favourite for quite some time now), and our famous Whiting Tempura with chilli ponzu dipping sauce (it’s hard for us to be modest about the Whiting because we love it that much!). Since opening our original hole-in-the-wall (Zushi Darlinghurst) in 2005, we’ve won a couple of voter choice awards, like the inaugural 2007 lifestyle Food Channel’s “Australia’s Favourite Japanese Restaurant” award, which we then won again in 2009, this time bagging not only “Australia’s Favourite Asian Restaurant” but also the overall title of “Australia’s Favourite Restaurant. ” We got a couple of cool frying pans out of that.
