Indie pop stars The Shins may be the first band announced for this year's Splendour In The Grass. Lead singer James Mercer was asked by The Vine if they had any plans to tour Australia and responded,
“Yes, we will. I just don’t know when. I know there was talk about Splendour in the Grass, but that’s like, pencilled into my calendar. It’s not official. So it would be trying to be something together around there, I suppose.”
