The V Festival Rumour Mill: Have Your Say

15 Oct 2008

The summer festival season has grown even bigger this year, creating confusion and panic among innocent ticket buyers. Refreshingly, the V Festival is situated unobtrusively in a more spacious section of the festival calendar: over in the less cluttered regions of March.

Dates have been set for the third annual Australian leg of the V Festival. For full dates click here. Despite the dates having been finalised, there has been no word yet as to who will perform, and at this stage it is anyone's guess. In the past, massive bands like Pixies, the Smashing Pumpkins, My Chemical Romance, Duran Duran, Queens of the Stone Age and Jesus & Mary Chain have performed at the touring event.

Rumours abound that Metallica will be the major headline act in 2009. Other names bandied about include Radiohead, Beck, Weezer, Guns N Roses, Amy Winehouse and the Chemical Brothers.

Who do you think will play the 2009 V Festival?

Are the acts mentioned likely to play?

Who do you want to play the 2009 V Festival?

Hey 'veterin' festival goer, perhaps if you spent less time at rock concerts and more learning simple spelling skills you might earn the respect of the under 25s that you obviously desire so much.
