Two prominent practitioners of Dubstep will land in Australia this NY season for a series of club shows, taking in the Origin NYE party in Perth.
Benga
Skream - widely regarded as one of the pioneers of the genre - and Benga - a relatively fresh faced purveyor - both harken from London's southern suburbs and make up two of the most iconic figures in the experimental dancefloor genre.
Benga's debut album 'Diary of an Afro-Warrior' was met with critical acclaim upon release earlier this year. Skream's self-titled debut LP came out in late 2006 and is regarded as one of the blueprints for the genre.
The tour begins in Adelaide on the 27th of December at Summerbreak, before moving on to Perth for the Origin NYE festival at Bassenden Oval. The duo will then move onto Sydney on the 2nd of January at the Oxford Art Factory and the HiFi Bar in Melbourne on the 3rd of January.
