The inaugural Lost Weekend festival, featuring Dinosaur Jr [pictured], will no longer take place at the Ivory's Rock Conference Centre, but instead the Brisbane Riverstage and Botanical Gardens.
Originally intended to be a camping festival, the festival has been moved into Brisbane city due to "issues beyond the promoter's control".
"We will continue to work with the venue and local authorities towards holding an event of the originally intended nature..." the promoters said in a statement, "but in the end we needed to make sure we could provide the best experience at the inaugural event for patrons and artists alike."
The new venue will see the Lost Weekend festival split into two days running from 10am to 10pm. Previously purchased tickets are still valid, and full refunds will be available. The upside is that the festival is now an all ages event, and punters are able to buy tickets for an individual day ($100 for Saturday, $75 for Sunday).
