Just letting you know that The Bamboos are touring the East Coast and Liveguide has a double pass to giveaway to each show of the tour!

You can find out more about the tour here: www.liveguide.com.au/Tours/577685/The_Bamboos_Present_Kylie_Auldist/The_Bamboos_The_Super_Heavy_Soul_Revue_National_Tour

They're not just some bunch of jazz musos playing smokey soul for old people, they've got a brand new vocalist Kylie Auldist who, when not singing with the Bamboos, keeps herself busy getting compared to the likes of Sharon Jones, Amy Winehouse and Nicole Willis.

If you want to win yourself a double pass to see The Bamboos and Kylie Audist when they pass through your citAY, just login to Liveguide and answer this post with who you think is the undisputed King of Funk & Soul.

There's a few to choose from, James Brown aint the only one, so have fun!

Good luck!

...but there's probably some old black guy in a retirement home now who was funkier than anyone alive and nobody's got any idea who he is. You cant hope to capture every bit of talent that happens in the world.

Yes. He aint the only one but if it weren't for him implementing "the one" in the first place, we'd still be referring to funk as that god-awful smell.
So my vote goes to the hardest working man himself Mr. James Brown... followed closely by that hard hitter Eddie Bo.

Its too hard to pick one. If i could pick 3 and roll them into 1 it would be James Brown, Barry White and George Clinton.
