Hey Angels, How about a few more gigs as I couldn't get to these! You were the FIRST band I saw live ( Marconi Club 1980.)

CALOUNDRA RSL (20 November 2008)
Well .... the crowd came - I saw - and the Angels conquered .... from the moment the Brewster boys first cranked up that well-worn 'After the Rain' riff to open the show, to the closing bars of 'Marsielles', Doc and the boys showed just why they still are the kings of the live rock scene. Like they stepped out of a time machine set for somewhere in the mid 80s, Doc Neeson had the eclectic throng mesmerised with his famous theatrics - along with energy not befitting a supposedly ageing former star. And once the show hit full swing with classics like 'No Secrets' 'Shadow Boxer' 'Face the Day' 'Be With You' and a very ballsy version of 'City Out Of Control' .... there was simply no turning back.

Of course the icing on the cake were the renditions of the iconic 'Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again' and 'We Gotta Get Out Of This Place' ..... the mega-hyped throng were more than happy to assist the band with full backing vocals - not to mention the famous response !!!

I've been to many Angels gigs dating back to my first in 1981, and these guys have simply lost nothing.

4.5 stars imho ......
