SAW THIS SHOW LAST NIGHT. IT WAS PATHETIC !

I could go on and on. This show was the worst thing I have seen in a long long time.
....one small thing for the producers -if you are going to give the punters handkerchiefs to wave -make sure you get the bloody colours right !!! Dopes. It was supposed to be Red and Yellow. No-too hard. They give us Red and WHITE ! .....amateurs.

We too were dissapointed. So much time taken to change the sets for 2 -3 mins of absolutely no drama. It had such potential but just did nothing with it.

I was embarrassed for the actors and Russell Crowe. Nobody would want their name associated with this cheesy, boring, banal production. "Female Pirates"? The stopping of the action as the narrator interjected, had us laughing out loud. What a waste of money!

Thank god I had free tickets!! This show was disgraceful. I have never been more bored in my life. Alan Jones said at the beginning of the show 'you will have memories that last a lifetime'. What the?

We had a corporate box, what a waste of money. However, the company was great and we were able to have a laugh about it. In the valley of the lepers one guest commented "they can't hear you, your ear is falling off"

I too was embarrased for everyone concerned with this production. Why could they not see what a cheesey, amateurish show this was. It promised so much - it delivered nothing. It is an insult to Australian theatre goers to take their hard earned dollars and offer this sort of rubbish in return.

We paid top dollar for top tickets and were placed up the back I felt and to be told by the people next to us they received their tickets two for the price of one then to bored to tears a such an uneventful performance no sound affects special effects i agree primary age students would perform better what a disappointment

This show was the most pathetic abysmal thing I have ever ever seen. We saw it on Friday night. The tix said an 8:00pm start NOT 8:30 you clowns. The actual production was pathetic....not even funny. The boat scene was fckuni horrid and as for the lepers wandering around for what seemed like 20 min......pleeeeeeeze.
Jones, Crowe, Wilkins -hang your heads in shame.Hand all your money back to the Childrens Hosp. Better still take the Chariot off into oblivion

All you guys please have a look and comment on the Official site discussion board on F/Book. Presently two comments from 51 have praised the performance efforts. Citysearch is indicative of here and rates a 100 percent negative. Email the morning shows if you have time. That was by far the biggest media/celebrity driven scam Australia has seen. Woeful.

Wow so many negative comments on the Spectacular Ben Hurr. We (4 of us) had gold tickets for saturday night. Does the ANZ Stadium really not have a closed roof that would have saved 1000's of people from getting soaked. Yes gold tickets great seats but no cover from weather, cheaper seats had cover. We had travelled from Brisbane paid for 2 nights accomodation and we expected what had been advertised a Spectacular. We like the other people posting were impressed with the chariot race. Words I heard in the lift at our hotel were Ben Hurr was so underwhelming.
