Chris Isaak at Mornington - what a steaming pile of crap that was! The event management was woeful, seating was shocking (it looks like they were prepared for a crowd of about 100 - anything after that you couldn't see a thing) Couldn't see the stage never-the-less the artists. We were crammed in a space between the stands and the racetrack at an impossible downhill angle, we were near the back (having arrived 10 minutes after the gate opened but being put into a HUGE queue with only 4 people checking bags - when the line got too long, the simply took the people from the end of the queue and made a new line - so late arrivals got in LONG before we did. Waited 40 minutes to get a soda $3.50 - cheaper than water at $5.00 a bottle. ticket-holders got so angry they finally intimidated staff into opening another area for seating but that was even further down behind a hill - I'm sure they didn't see anything. the latest arrivals got to sit in the racetrack stands - but half of that seating was behind the sound tower that blocked huge amounts of space. Honestly, it was the worst run affair I've ever seen. I hope Chris Isaak's management company hears about this and SUES the hell out of Andrew McManus. Seriously, does anyone know of an action to get your money back? Oh yea, I was one of the idiots that paid full price - I know there were 2 for 1's on the market for a month before hand. Met another couple there that just walked right in the gates after the concert started. No one manning it to take the tickets or check their bags. PATHETIC.

My friend and I went to the Trak gig it was the best venue to see Chris and his band you could dance all night without any body telling you to sit down.Sound was awesome and light show .We go to every gig in Melbourne over the past 10 years Palace, Regent theater, and Palms at Crown the best was the Trak 2nd Palms sound was perfect at both venues only dissapointment was we did not get to meet him or chat with the band which we have in the past.So we are now thinking about seeing him play in his home town.Thankyou Chris Isaak and band you are a true entertainer.

I agree with the total lack of response from AMP, we emailed prior to the Mornington event with some questions re. the event and I emailed again on Monday to say how disgusted I was and, surprise, no response to either of these emails!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with other posts, as a long time fan of Chris Isaak, saw him on Sunrise, and thought he must be on tour soon! only to find out he had already been in SA! who the hell promotes him!

i'm soooooo jealous of all who knew about and got to see him at Trak. I saw him a few years ago at the Palms at Crown where I sat on luxurious seats a few feet away from him. That was the best concert I've ever been to!

Love Chris Isaak. HATE the Mornington Racecourse event. Pathetic. Lots of drunk people, Cold! Long show no pleasure. Left after 4 CI's songs. Couldn't stand any more. Terrible! Big mistake. I thought I made myleft a birthday present. It was the worst birthday present EVER.
Still in love with Chris Isaak but HATE the management of the show.

My husband and I went to see Chris at Mornigton. We weren't going to go as $ to much for what the venue was. We went as we got half price ticks. Venue terrible couldn't see or hear, plus had to line up for over an hour to get in and they didn't even check our bags after all that. We are glad we saw Chris in 2009 at the Palis in St Kilda. That's where Chris belongs in a great venue with allocated seating. Mornigton racecourse is not suited to an 'A' Grade artist.

Agree with Liz. Didn't even know he was to be in
Adelaide in March. Thought his recent promotion (Sept/Oct) for his new album was for an upcoming tour! So much for the promoter's efforts!!! Kris
