Australia's biggest winter festival is set to return in 2010, with the first line-up due late next month.

It's a tradition for the internet to speculate over who will play at Splendour in the Grass once Japan's Fuji Rock Festival has unveiled it's first line-up. It's believed that if bands are travelling as far south as Japan, they might as well visit Australia as well.

That said, here's the Fuji Rock line-up so far:

22-20s
Air
Alberta Cross
Belle and Sebastian
Boom Boom Satellites
Boys Noize
Broken Social Scene
The Cribs
Flogging Molly
Foals
Hot Chip
Ian Brown
John Butler Trio
Ken Yokoyama
Kitty Daisy&Lewis
LCD Soundsystem
Magnetic Man
Massive Attack
Muse
Ocean Colour Scene
Parachute
Riddim Saunter
Them Crooked Vultures
toe
Vampire Weekend
Yeasayer
Z-Trip

Among those artists Massive Attack and Vampire Weekend can probably be ruled out - they are both already scheduled to play in Australia, with Massive Attack's tour currently underway and Vampire Weekend confirmed for Groovin' The Moo.

Likewise, Muse were here in January for the Big Day Out and The Cribs were here only last month.

Liveguide thinks there's a strong possibility that Belle and Sebastian and Broken Social Scene will appear on the bill, in keeping with Splendour's indie rock oriented line-ups.

But what do you think? Have you heard any compelling rumours? Let us know in the Livewall comments box to your right!

Belle & Sebastian for sure. Also, hopefully the Strokes, even though Julian Casablancas is touring already...

Would love to see Ian Brown on a national tour; his show at the Gov was brilliant.

Air come out all the time. i hope this year the splendour organisers put a few surprises on the line-up and not just bands that come out frequently and will reliably sell the event out.
