I loved loved loved Mr Clickity Cane!! I remember running around the house belting that out when I was little. Peter Combe was KING.

"Oooooooooooohhhhh, when Mr Clicketty Cane, plays a silly game, all the kids in the street, they like to do the same...".

I always used to think it was hilarious that he'd fry an egg on a slippery dip or fix the fence with sticktape.

I also have a vague memory of jumping around on the kitchen table singing Spaghetti Bolognaise and the visitors we had over at the time just had no idea and thought I was odd. Hm...15 years and I still remember that.

Poor kids these days are just stuck with the Wiggles. They know not the joys of Mr Clickety Cane. Shame shame shame.

And I just LOVE the fact that he's at The Zoo...who would've thought that 'When You're Feeling Crook' would ever be bounced around the walls of The Zoo!

I remain his devoted fan even though that double tape wore out years ago.

Singing along to Peter in the car, much to the annoyance of my parents! Especially remember Juicy Juicy Green Grass!! Very appropriate when driving through the country fields in Gippsland!

Between my 5 younger brothers as well as my sister and myself we watched the video - singing and dancing along of course - so many times I think my parents were ready to burn it. Knowing 'Newspaper Mama' helped me win a prize recently in a trivia competition for being able to answer "What's black, white and 'read' all over?" so listening Peter Combe has definitely come in handy. Newspaper hats were all the rage at Festival of the Sun last year - well my sister and I and a couple of friends attempted to start a revival - it's sad that there are so many kids out there these days that didn't grow up with Peter Combe and have no idea who he is!

I have so many memories of listening and watching Peter Combe , but I especially loved the Toffee  Apple song and this gave me a life long love of Toffee Apples I still enjoy eating them. Peter Combe has made a huge revival in our house as my 3 year old sister has taken a huge liking to him as well.....Rock on Peter Combe.....

I got given his record when i was a toddler the moment i could sing i knew all the words to every song off by heart and the actions that went along with it and would dance around the house singing every chance i got. Mr clickety caine was my favourite song and Im now 22 and still have the record and have taught my niece the moves to mr clickety caine. My sister in law knew how much i love him that she got me my record on cd so i can listen to it in my car. People think im strange but i dont care casue it brings back awesome memories

The very first time I remember singing along to Peter Combe is about grade 2. At school we sang the Tadpole song. "Yesterday I had a body and a tail, body and a tail.." I think we were learning about insect life-cycles or something.
GOSH. It was SO GOOD.
But that's jsut the oldest specific memory I have. Peter Combe's songs were such a part of my childhood it's hard to pick out moments. Those songs were always around becase of my older brothers. I still play the CDs in the car. And busting out in, "WHEN MR CLICKETY CANE PLAYS HIS SILLY GAME" at the top of my voice in senior maths B.

Rubbing bubblegum over my teeth. Theorising about how the sticky-ness will lift the fuzzyness off. I'm pretty sure it didn't work. Not quite as bad as reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and sticking bubblegum behind my ear and having mum cut a big chunk of hair out.

Mum used to sing the Silly Postman to us. And I think I remember hearing it on Playschool once.

I spent rainy days with my brothers at home making paper hats and then aeroplanes. Furiously working to see who could make the best. Of course the house would end up as covered in newspaper as the Newspaper Mama video clip.

"Six pollywaffes, maybe seven, possibly ten" -Supermarket

Peter Combe def rates ten pollywaffles and beats spaghetti bolognaise any day of the week.

Was having a mosey around some markets near my house and...someone...had...The Absolutely Very Best of Peter Combe (so far)...for sale...for $2. I quickly snapped it up, looking around furtively to ensure no one tried to steal my precious booty away from me.

I TOTALLY forgot about Happy as Larry....my neighbours are now being educated in real music :p.
