At 14 years old, I was a huuuuge Bon Jovi fan. When they came out to Australia for the first time, my friend and I lied to our parents and snuck in to the airport to hopefully see them, get autographs, whatever, we were KEEN (and clueless
...)
We spent the day waiting at this wire fence with 30 other huuuuuge Bon Jovi fans. Hours and hours. They eventually graced us with their presence by driving past in 2 Taragos with verrry dark tinted windows and one hand waving out the back window. Then they drove past, and we all chased them down the street. Coz that's what you do, isn't it.....?
The next day I turned up at school, and my friends were like "You're in the paper!!!" I didn't understand. They showed me the Sydney Morning Herald, page 3 a huuuuuge picture of a huuuuge Bon Jovi fan running down the street....one shoulder strap falling off, the caption read "A young fan shows her appreciation for her heroes"
ooops
And guess who were faithful daily readers of the Sydney Morning Herald....? My dear parents who I had lied to about where I was that day....
. I think I would have gotten away with it until my little brother helpfully pointed out, that it was ME!!! Thanks alot bro!
