Thanks to Darlinghurst Theatre and Spooky Duck Productions, Liveguide is giving away five double passes to see La La Land on Wednesday 30th April.

To win your tickets, just reply to this thread and let us know what you think is different between Hollywood and Australia. The less obvious answers are going to grab the tickets this time.

Logging into the forums is easy, just click on the link in the top right hand corner of the screen. If you're new to liveguide, just  click here to sign up for free.

Here's some more information on La La Land, click here to check it out or just see below for a snippet...

Welcome to Hollywood. Have an insane day.

Christopher Johnson, writer of The Young Tycoons, Backpacker!, Barnesy, the Harbour and You and The Dog Logs will return to the Darlinghurst Theatre Company in May with the premiere of the wonderful and witty La La Land an unashamedly excessive comedy of Aussies in Hollywood.

This hilarious depiction of Aussies in Hollywood – and out of their depth - is told with pace, style and verve by an ensemble of local and international actors, including Sean Lynch, Octavia Barron Martin, Sam Smith, Ian Watkin and Drew Fairley.  Regular Johnson collaborator Michael Pigott will direct.

“Going to Los Angeles for the first time, Australian actors and directors almost all return with the same story – that it’s overwhelming and can be quite brutal,” says Christopher Johnson. “To me, that naiveté is great grounds for comedy – the innocent abroad, the minnow thrown in with the sharks.”

Terry Swanton gains art-house kudos for his small Australian independent film and gets summoned to Los Angeles by Jimmy Fleishberg, the Greatest Independent Movie Producer In Hollywood. Jimmy’s got Big Ideas for Terry’s new screenplay, and La La Land is a crazy place. Nutty foreign directors, egotistical cult-ridden movie stars, drug dealers with three-picture development deals and abandoned Aussie TV actors are just part of Terry’s sometimes absurd journey into the dream factory known as LA.

Australia isn't full of loud-mouthed Americans, that's for sure.

Australia is full of real people whereas Hollywood is full of actors who like us to think that they're something more than real.

besides In 'N' out burger, the main difference is if an australian idea for a movie is good enough, Hollywood can actually greenlight it and turn it into a highly successful 4 part horror movie franchise starring a host of B-list actors.  Wouldn't happen here.

Hi Everyone,

I've emailed all of the winners and let them know, thanks everyone for entering, this competition is now closed. Stick around though, we've got another one starting in just a little while.

Cheers,
