Get kids off the street and teach them to take pride in their artwork rather than just exercising the impulse by scrawling shitty tags in train carriages. Sounds like a good idea to run street art workshops, it's an innovative strategy to combat vandalism. Not so says Scott Hilditch of Grafitti Hurts Australia in an inteview with the Herald where he claimed that the workshops gave teenagers the green light to vandalise city streets. It's that kind of ignorance towards youth issues that creates a social problem like vandal culture in the first place.
