Only a matter of hours following the opening of Madame Tussauds famous wax museum in Berlin, an enraged visitor leapt over barriers and removed the head of the Hitler exhibit.

Already mired in controversy, the wax likeness of Hitler was widely condemned as being innapropriate, especially given the museum's physical proximity to the Brandenburg Gate in the center of historic Berlin.

The Hitler exhibit has for the time being been removed and the vandal has been charged.
