Metallica to Launch Radio Station Metal pioneers and filesharing luddites Metallica are set to launch their own radio station to coincide with the release of their new album 'Death Magnetic'. The station titled 'Mandatory Metallica' will broadcast from August 16th and run for six weeks on the satellite station XM. The station will feature songs from the band's extensive back catalogue and feature guest spots by members of Guns N Roses, Slipknot and Linkin Park. 'Death Magnetic' is released internationally on September the 12th.
