For those of you who allowed the bad publicity to set your mind in concrete before you went to the Hope Estate show need to ask yourselves how much of a fan are you?  I have loved Whitney since she came out with 'How Will I Know' and was honoured to just have her standing in front of me.  And, it is not a case of good divas going bad, but good divas getting older, as we all will... I'm also so proud of her coming out of the drug rut which of course will leave you in poorer health than before you entered it.

I for one enjoyed the show immensely, as did my husband who is not the Whitney fan that many are.  She made light of her inability to hit the high note in 'I Will Always Love You' and it appeared the crowd appreciated her own amusement and the fact that she gave it a go anyway.  She was elegant, eloquent and nothing less than the fabulous Ms Houston that I expected to see.

When we got onto the bus to go home a crowd of young drunkards were doing a poll on who was still a fan.  When we said we still were, we were told we weren't allowed on the bus.  I then told her in no uncertain terms that although she was entitled to her opinion I was older, had been a fan longer and that YOU ARE IN MY WAY, MOVE!  which she did.

PS:  Whitney, you still have a killer pair of legs, but your stylist needs to be shot!  A more flattering dress ensemble could have been arranged...  But you pay people for that, sack them!

I have to say that Whitney's concert at Hope Estate was a sad and disappointing affair. I went along with realistic expectations - I knew she was not going to be like she was when she was at the top (nothing lasts forever) but she was pretty shocking! She was very unfit and rambling, at times. I was more sad than angry. She has been given bad advice and this Worldwide Tour won't go the distance - I don't think she will make it physically. She should stick to working in a studio.

The venue was fantastic, well organised. The backup singers, Anthony Callea, sound, dancers, musicians were all great but the Diva was not there (not even close).

I think I'll get a good Greatest Hits CD and hope to erase the concert experience from my mind. In my experience, most of the audience went along hoping for the best for her but were sadly disappointed.

Poor Whitney, love you girl, but hasn't all those drugs seriously fucked you up!
Whitney did a Britney, for her live (cough) shows here in Australia, getting bad reviews conscientently.
Due to the constant battering in the news, our expectations for the show were low, but we made the most of it anyway. She played at a small outdoor venue, in the Hope Estate Winery, yes we guzzled the wine to make the whole experience more entertaining, but this is where Whitney delievered, she had us entertained for the whole show, almost a comedy act at some points.

So the 8,000 plus crowd enjoyed the following:

I genuinely feel sorry for her, Bobby helped ruin her life, she looked distance, almost not there, as if the real Whitney did not exist I hope she gets better, cause it was a shame to see such a talented artist disintergrate to a mess like that! God she's calling you, respond please!

Hunter valley - how do i get my money back - this is fraud sellign tickets for a show that Whiteny cannot delvier, She coudl not even finish one song let along a concert. Most of the singing was donw by the audience, her borhter, the video , or the backing singers. She knows she can no longer sing , She shoudl cancel the tour and pay the money back to her fans if she cares about them

We went to the Hunter valley concert AMAZING!!!!...she was TRIUMPHANT ...... The atmospehre was amazing and the crowd lifted her. I wasnt expecting her to sound like she used to , but to see her in person and see her perform her hits was just an experience. She looked fantastic and she was full of energy and she really looked like she was enjoying herself. It takes courage to perform after getting such bad reviews, and knowing your vocals arent what they used to be , but to still perform is an inspiration and its great to see she just didnt give up and go home. Shes here for her fans we all showed her that we still love her after all she has come through. The concert was ONE MOMENT IN TIME !

And its so true, if any of you out there were really whitney houstons fans, you wouldn't be bagging her, you would be supporting her and appreciate the fact that she is trying her hardest after everything she has been through! I think some of the comments people are making is quite selfish and very rude! Its an honour to have whitney visit our country!Give the poor woman some credit! She is a hero for us to look up to because she had the strength and power to come out of a horrible time in her life! if your really a fan support her don't back her! How upset would you be if you were tying your best at something you were trying to come back to and you had the whole world judging and critisizing every bad move you made and not even noticing the good things! Come on people lets drop the negativity! We should be honoured just to have been standing metres away from such a beautiful person!

Whitney was amazing last nite in adelaide...to all the people who are'nt true whitney fans just stay at home and keep listening to your cd player if you require a perfect world! Give her some credit for who she is and what she has achieved in her life time. My partner and I had tears & goosebumps just hearing her hit the notes,(dont lie by saying she didnt hit some that sounded awesome) laughed at her humour and senserity to her fans who will always be there thru the good times and the bad...thats what life is all about. Everyone hits their peak when theyre younger and those who are old enough to know better should be a little more understanding. Whitneys voice has matured and changed thru the years, its deeper and more husky these days...i call it sexy! Thankyou for your voice whitney you are a living ledgend and you have my support always. NEVER use whiney & Britney in the same sentence. Peace, love & understanding.

Im def a Whitney Fan and i wasn't expecting her to sounds as good as she used to, but it was the worst concert id ever seen.
First of all her back up singers sang pretty much every chorus of every song, and many of the versus.
Second, she didn't even sing Queen of the Night
Third, she spent so much of the concert talking random crap, and wasting more time than most would....
Fourthly, she spent about 20 minutes costume changing....
Fifthly, she couldn't hit any of the notes, and her attempt to sing 'i will always love you' was horrible.
Six, she looked like she was off her face on something, she forgot the order of the songs, was struggling to walk in a straight line, and nearly fell off her stool at one point....

I was really looking forward to this concert, and was highly disappointed....
