Saw Marianne at the Tivoli 31 Jan - she hasn't lost that raspy, whiskey-soaked voice of hers, in fact I think she's better than ever ... she paused every now and then to put on her lippy, take a sip of water or tea, but it all added to a very intimate night with her. The band was awesome to say the least - a myriad of instruments and unending talent, and they played a mixture from both her brilliant new album 'Easy Come, Easy Go', as well as some old favourites like 'Broken English', 'Why'd Ya Do It', 'Ballad of Lucy Jordan' - if you've been thinking about going to her concert - just do it !!! |
